Two Japanese climbers lost in Mt. Cook. One was rescued, another died. (New Zealand)

New Zealand Police announced that they rescued two Japanese climbers who could not go down from near the peak of Mt. Cook (3754m), the highest peak of New Zealand, after inclement weather hit the mountain from 6days ago by helicopter in the morning on 5.
Death of the Japanese mountain guide who was stay with the Japanese was certificated.
According to the police, the Japanese who survived from the distress got frost injury on his/her face, but the condition of health is very good. Also the Japanese could go to the helicopter by walking when he/she was rescued. Estimated time of death of the Japanese who died is in early morning on 5.
It was few hours before a survival Japanese was rescued.
Two of them had a day of storm near the top of Mt. Cook. They stayed inside of a tent from last weekend, but the tent was crushed by snow in the night on 4.
Then they huddled against each other in the field.
The temperature of the peak is almost 20 degrees below zero.
According to a top official of the police, they were together until the night of 4th, but they lose contact 3 hours later from sun set.
Rescuing by helicopter was tried again and again, but rescue team had to give up because of strong wind.
They dropped a bag that foods and equipments are in it by the tent on 3, but the two Japanese did not notice it.
In Mt. Cook, 7 Japanese have died, include this Japanese decease.
